We are seeking to recruit an Administrator to join our growing administration team and work with our Office Manager. Whether you are a Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice looking to start your career in administration or someone with more experience looking for a new opportunity, please get in touch.  Flexible hours available.

You will provide admin support to an office of c. 30 civil engineers under the supervision of the Office Manager.  Tasks will include (but are not limited to):

  • Answering the phone and greeting clients on reception
  • Overseeing the use of conference and meeting rooms (including AV)
  • Processing post (incoming and outgoing)
  • Assist in coordinating diaries of team members and directors
  • Assist in coordinating team/client events and socials
  • Booking travel and accommodation as required
  • Managing office stationery and supplies
  • Following current filing systems and creating new ones where appropriate
  • Monitoring current office systems and supporting setting up new ones as required
  • Supporting technical teams in data collection and report writing/formatting
  • Supporting technical teams with printing and folding drawings
  • Supporting invoicing and financial systems
  • Anything else commensurate with the level of the job

Person Specification
You will need to have:

  • GCSE Grade 6 (Grade B) in Maths and English minimum
  • A-levels or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Professional levels of customer service
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prompt Timekeeping and ability to manage own time/work-load
  • Efficiency and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy office environment
  • A self-starter with good self-motivation
  • Enthusiasm with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team
