"The London study trip was really beneficial to all who attended. A great opportunity to work with colleagues on a design concept task relating to Manual For Streets design, which for many was outside their field of experience. It also provided the opportunity for various arms of the office to work together in teams which were not their day to day teams. Many junior members of the company had the opportunity to find their voice and come up with some great ideas to solve the design problem, which in our industry is a must! After the training the chance to see some of the sights of London, and continue the friendly discussion into the study task, provided the opportunity for much friendly banter. A great trip all round!"

Graduate Engineer

After spending 4 years studying for my MEng Civil Engineering degree at The University of Sheffield I returned to Devon to start a graduate job at AWP in 2019 having enjoyed summer internships during 2017 and 2018.

Originally from Torbay I grew up playing rugby for several local sides alongside other sports and still enjoy spending my weekends watching people who were good enough to make a career out of it. I support Swansea City in football and the Ospreys in rugby, having family from Wales, but will begrudge myself an occasional cheer when Chiefs win every single weekend.

In my short time at AWP so far I have worked in Alex’s and Graham’s teams on my respective internships and am now delighted to be working as part of Dan’s team in Detailed Design. I have enjoyed starting my career proper with AWP and working with all the lovely people here.
