"We have worked with AWP on a number of projects. We particularly like the technical expertise they bring to our project teams and the proactive attitude that all of their guys seem to possess."
This month's image is of the entrance into the proposed mixed use redevelopment of the former Yelland Quay power station site in North Devon. We've been working with project architect Woodward Smith preparing a comprehensive masterplan for the regeneration of this challenging 55ha brownfield site. We undertook a FRA andTA to support the outline planning application having consulted extensively with the EA and DCC to get their in-principle support for the proposed works.
We were pleased to see another of our Exeter University student accommodation schemes recently secure planning permission. Exeter City Council approved plans to demolish the existing Radmore & Tucker site in Frog Street and build a new block of 98 apartments on the site.
And at Landkey in North Devon a residential scheme we have been working on with long-standing client Devonshire Homes was granted outline planning permission at Appeal recently. Alex gave evidence on highway matters. We will be preparing a Reserved Matters application for the 77 dwelling scheme to help deliver much needed new housing in this area.
As part of National Apprenticeship Week Dan and George attended Exeter College's 2016 Apprenticeship Expo and manned the AWP stand. They talked to a number of potential candidates about opportunities to join our Infrastructure design team later this year.
