HRH The Duke of Cornwall opens Skol Nansledan

18/03/20

Pete and Dan visited Cornwall for the opening of Skol Nansledan (Nansledan School) on the 6th March. It was a momentous day for the development with H.R.H. The Prince of Wales in attendance.

Nansledan is an urban extension of Newquay currently being built on 540 acres of land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and embodies the principles of architecture and urban planning championed by HRH The Prince of Wales.

Once planning permission was granted for Skol Nansledan in 2017 we undertook the infrastructure design work to help discharge planning conditions and obtained Cornwall Council's approval for the new school access.

AWP are proud to have been involved in this project for a number of years and the opening of the new school is a key milestone in the growth of Nansledan.

Dan said: To have the opportunity to spend time with The Prince of Wales and discuss the Nansledan infrastructure was a privilege. It’s certainly an afternoon I won’t forget.
