March 2015

01/03/15

It's been another good month with planning permissions recently granted for Jurston Farm in Wellington (650 dwellings and primary school), Millbay Marinain Plymouth (142 apartments) and Devonshire Park in Paignton (approx 250 dwellings, 5,500sqm B1/B8 and 8,500sqm retail floorspace).

We're also pleased to report that we've recently been appointed on a number of new commissions including the infrastructure design for the redevelopment of theformer Town Mill at Ottery St Mary, which is this month's image. And in Hampshire, building on our work undertaken for the consortium of regional housebuilders CG Fry, Morrish Builders, Wyatt Homes and landowner Ashfield Estate we've been appointed to increase our scope of works to support the forthcoming detailed planning application for a 300 dwelling scheme.

In light of these recent appointments and to ensure we continue to deliver high quality work on programme and on budget, we have recently appointed two civil engineering graduates and one technical assistant to join us when they complete their academic studies in the next few months.

We're delighted to have been shortlisted in the Professional Firm of the Year category for the Michelmores Property Awards 2015. This is the second year running we have been the only consultant engineer to be shortlisted for this award. We're up against our friends at LHC (again), HLM (again) and Kay Elliott, three established regional architects with excellent portfolios of work. Time to dust off the DJ for the Awards Dinner on Tuesday 19 May.
