Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

12/05/21

It's Mental Health Awareness Week 2021 and this year's theme is nature.

From a recent staff survey, it is clear just how valuable time in nature has been to the AWP team during the global pandemic. From walks at lunchtime and marking up drawings in the sun to just a simple screen break in the fresh air; nature has had a positive effect on everyone's well being and productivity.

Below are couple of quotes from our staff:

'I've found that leaving the house during my lunch break helps me to reset my mind for the afternoon and I would recommend others try this if they are struggling.'

'Working from home has had a positive effect for me. Not having to commute and just being at home, I exercise more, get outside more and spend more time with the kids'

Due to restrictions we are unable to meet up for our usual Mental Health Awareness Week team dog walk but encourage teams to get out in their smaller numbers.
