Happy birthday to us! Yes we're 3 today (1st Nov). Over those 3 years we've grown from 7 of us to a team of 23. We've moved office and then expanded into next door (which we've recently completed and looks really good). And during that time we've worked on over 35,000 houses, either in helping secure planning permissions or undertaking the detailed infrastructure design. We like to think we are doing our bit to help meet the government's housebuilding targets.
Congratulations to (L-R above) Matt, Alex H, Simon, Andy H, Dan and Jon for completing the Commando Challenge on Woodbury Common earlier this month. Dan, Simon, Andy and Alex ran, swam, crawled the 10km course while Matt and Jon successfully completed the 17km course. The next time you speak to them, ask them how they enjoyed the 'sheep dip' . . . and if you’re not sure what the sheep dip is, here's a video of Matt going for a dip. Between them they raised a total of £640 which we at AWP were pleased to match to realise a total of £1,280 for the Marines' chosen charities ‘Devon Air Ambulance Trust’ and ‘Royal Marines Charity’.
During October we completed our engineering input to support the planning application for a 153 bed student accommodation building for future Exeter University students. This is one of currently five live schemes we are working on to provide additional student accommodation.
And finally for this month's news, we've been pleased to have been appointed on a number of exciting new projects recently. We'll continue to update our Team Experiencesection of the website with our increasing portfolio of projects.
