"I have worked with Rob on a number of complicated sites over the years where flooding and flood risk have been major constraints. With Rob’s hard work and ingenuity acceptable solutions have been found and agreed with the Environment Agency. I have no hesitation in recommending Rob and I look forward to working with him and his colleagues at AWP."

The highlight of the AWP social calendar was our 1st birthday party which we held at the Deer Park Country House Hotel, near Honiton. After an afternoon of country sporting activities, (where Chris and Gareth were the stars with the clay pigeon shooting and Jake top-scored at the archery) we were joined by wives and girlfriends for an excellent 3 course dinner. And at the evening awards ceremony, where Ryan seemed to be shortlisted in every category, Gavin (from Wavin) was a little too keen to celebrate winning the 'AWP driver of the year' award. The dry cleaning bill is in the post.

In the morning, there were a few thick heads at the breakfast table, but not Pete, who was up bright and early to take charge of the Honiton U7s in another memorable display of total football. And all in their shiny new AWP sponsored kits.

And to finish off our first year in trading we have just taken on Simon Baker as our new graduate civil engineer. Simon joins us from Cardiff University. Welcome on board.
