At AWP we started the new year off with some fantastic news! Congratulations to Ralph, Ollie, Verity and Jack on their well deserved promotions.

Ralph has been promoted to Senior Engineer. Ralph has been with AWP for some time now, working within both Dan’s and Simon’s teams. During this period, he has significantly developed his engineering skills through involvement in several complex projects and has contributed to the training of numerous staff members within the business, which has been greatly appreciated. Over the past 12 months, Ralph has taken on a new role within Simon’s team, with additional responsibility for project delivery. Notably, his contributions to the S278 improvement works at Silverthorne Lane and the roundabout designs at Whitenap, Cannard’s Grove, and Halgover have further advanced his expertise.

Ollie has been promoted to Technician. Ollie has been with us for three and a half years and in 2024 he has become a key member of the team by taking on more responsibility and stepping up into the designer role, whilst upskilling other members of the team. Ollie is also working towards his degree apprenticeship which he is progressing well in. This is in recognition for his hard work over the past year.

Verity has been promoted to Technician off the back of a very successful 2024; she gained her Engineering Technician professional qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers, whilst also achieving distinction grades throughout her HNC Level 4. In the workplace she has continued to excel with her technical design work and has embodied the company values through her mentorship and support to junior apprentices and work experience placements.

Jack has been promoted to Technician. Jack has risen to every challenge thrown at him and consistently delivers to a high standard. His contribution in helping the team meet deadlines by offering guidance and support has been greatly appreciated. As well as his accomplishments within the office, Jack has completed his education at Exeter College, after gaining the HNC qualification in Civil Engineering with Distinctions across the board. Alongside this, he passed his review to become a Technician member of the Intuition of Civil Engineering. Jack’s hard work and commitment has been rewarded with a well-deserved promotion to Technician. Well done Jack!
