Team Operations Q3 Donations

This quarter, charity donations were chosen by our Operations Team! For Q3, Millie has chosen to support the British Heart Foundation (BHF) — a cause that has become particularly meaningful to her after taking a closer look at heart health and its impact on families. Millie’s friend, Cara Kane, is taking on a serious challenge this Saturday, cycling 100km off-road from London to Brighton in support of the British Heart Foundation, alongside her husband and colleagues from Toolstation. A brilliant cause, a huge challenge, and an important reminder to take a little time to think about our own heart

Michelmores 5k

AWP had 9 runners taking part in the Michelmores 5k yesterday evening, and every single one of them did brilliantly. A huge well done to the whole team for getting out there and giving it their all. It was a brilliant event raising money for Hospiscare Devon, a local charity whose incredible work AWP is always proud to support. Special shoutout to Ceri Middleton who came 9th place overall with an outstanding time of 18:16! Of course, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without a well-deserved pint afterwards, enjoyed with our friends from Ruddlesden geotechnical! Photo: Peter Matravers, Georgia

We ended the day by evaluating what works well and identifying opportunities for growth in our teams (along with a delicious BBQ!)

Football Shirt Friday

The team wore their favourite football shirts in support of the Cancer Research Bobby Moore Fund! Bobby was a footballer who captained West Ham and led the England men’s senior team to their first and only World Cup victory in 1966. He was only 51 years old when he passed away. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 48 people losing their life
