We are proud to announce that we have once again been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Gold accreditation, reaffirming our continued commitment to putting our people first and fostering a culture of excellence, trust, and development. We are absolutely thrilled to have retained our Gold status and this recognition belongs to everyone at AWP.
Fewer than 20% of organisations achieve Gold status, and we’re incredibly proud to be among them once again. This is the third time in a row that we have achieved Gold, meaning we will have held it for nearly a decade by the time of our next review.
Not only did we record an improvement in all areas of the IIP assessment, our IIP score was significantly ahead of both the average for all organisations nationally and those operating in our industry.
Here are some comments from our Assessor in their 2025 IIP Report:
- “People are encouraged to improve their knowledge and skills and there are great examples of people progressing in their career.”
- “Taking time out to have fun, and building a sense of team is valued and is for many a core part of what makes AWP a great place to work.”
- “People also presented examples demonstrating how they are made to feel valued and receive appreciation for the work they do, referencing your benefits package, employee awards and the support, feedback, and encouragement they receive from managers”
- “Skill and career development is something you continue to do well. Lots of examples were provided of professional development, mentoring, and career progression. Your teams really value this.”
This re-accreditation is a true team achievement, and it wouldn’t be possible without the dedication, collaboration, and passion of every person at AWP. Thank you for making our culture what it is.
To celebrate this, we hosted our own ‘Touch of Gold’ Party for the whole team at Exeter Quay which consisted of an evening with music, light refreshments and the best company !
Of course we don’t stop here, and we are already preparing an action plan in response to the feedback from IIP on areas for us to develop in the future.
