Car park accumulation surveys were carried out at the existing Aperture car parks to understand the baseline situation. Analysis of the survey data collected was undertaken to review the operation and spare capacity of the car parks. A further parking accumulation utilising TRICS trip rate data was undertaken to demonstrate how the Aperture car park would likely operate in the future should all current vacant plots become occupied.

A Highways Technical Note was prepared to accompany the full planning application to justify why the car park extension would be beneficial. This was accepted by the Highways Officer and consequently the scheme was granted planning approval in April 2026.
