AWP were appointed by Wesleyan Assurance Society to provide transport planning support for a full planning application for ‘Viewpoint’ which will be a new 24,000 sqft HQ building boasting ‘best in class’ sustainable features. Viewpoint will be located on the last undeveloped plot within the well-established Pynes Hill Business Park in Exeter.

AWP initially provided site layout input on multi-modal access, connectivity, movement and parking matters, and then completed a scoping exercise with the local highway authority to agree the transport strategy and the scope for the supporting technical documentation.

This process de-risked the planning application stage as much as possible and resulted in a swift approval of the Transport Statement and the BREEAM compliant Travel Plan by the local highway authority. AWP also usefully inputted to the supporting BREEAM Outstanding and EPCA assessments/documentation.

The highway authority raised no objection to the proposals and planning consent was granted in Summer 2024.
