AWP is keen to be a positive presence in the community that we live and work in. We therefore have a strong charity-giving strand to our business which includes raising money through sponsored charity events, making charitable donations instead of Christmas cards and sponsoring local community action and sports teams, to name a few.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of the charitable events and causes we have recently supported:
Team challenge sponsorship
2022 Press Up Challenge - Jack and Pete took on this challenge and as a result £640 was donated to Cancer Research UK
2022 Christmas Jumper Day - we dressed up in our festive knitwear to raise money for Save The Children
2022 Movember - we raised £2,510
2019 Movember - we had over half the office growing mo's and raised an incredible £2,733 for this excellent charity
2018 Great West Run - we raised over £750 for the Exeter YMCA
2018 Devon Monster Race - we raised over £2,600 for Children’s Hospice South West
2016 Movember - we raised £825 for the Movember Foundation
2015 Commando Challenge - we raised £1,280 for the Marines' chosen charities 'Devon Air Ambulance Trust' and 'Royal Marines Charity'
2014 Honiton Hippo - we raised over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support
2013 Movember - we raised over £700 for this excellent testicular cancer awareness charity
