When Sidmouth College invited us back to take part in their Careers Roundabout event, we jumped at the chance to develop our STEM work in schools.
On Thursday 29th November, Annabel, Fleur and Jayesh took part in Sidmouth College’s Careers Roundabout event. The day involved introducing the world of Civil Engineering to four groups of year 9 students to help inform their subject option choices and future career ideas. Each group listened to a presentation and then got the chance to get hands on with a practical task involving pipe runs and ping-pong balls.
The event provided a great opportunity for students to learn about different career options and for AWP to inspire the future generation to progress a career in Civil Engineering.
