Planning success in Gillingham, Dorset

We were delighted to hear that North Dorset District Council resolved to grant conditional consent for up to 634 dwellings, a new primary school and sports pitches in Gillingham, Dorset for C G Fry & Son.
We have worked on this scheme for a number of years and undertook a Flood Risk Assessment and surface water drainage strategy to support the outline application. We liaised extensively with local representatives including the Town Council Flood Wardens and attended public consultation events. This collaborative approach helped gain confidence in the proposed drainage strategies and ultimatly led to the Environment Agency and Dorset County Council as the Lead Local Flood Authority both supporting the proposals. We look forward to helping long-standing client C G Fry deliver this scheme.
