Dan Hart
Associate Director
I joined AWP in 2013 after spending time with both a small local firm and an international consultancy where I completed my apprenticeship and crafted my engineering and project management skills.
Through my time at AWP, I have established a subdivision of the infrastructure delivery team which I lead to provide engineering input on projects from pre-planning to construction, across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial and retail.
I love a good challenge, whether it's unpicking a tricky technical issues or thinking outside of the box to deliver unconventional highways, drainage and services provision which aid a development's overall vision. My energy is focussed into influencing large development masterplans with engineering solutions to ensure a scheme is as economic as possible but also puts placemaking at the forefront whilst considering construction costs and carbon emissions. There is always a solution you just have to find it...!
I enjoy inspiring the next generation of apprentices, engineers and leaders through our in-house training and award-winning apprenticeship programme with Exeter College.
In my spare time I'm passionate about music, playing guitar in heavy metal bands and actively writing music. If you like rock n' roll let's have a chat! I also enjoy watching rugby, walking with my family and dog, and spending time on adventures in our camper van.
