ES & EIA Co-ordination
For larger projects where the Local Planning Authority decides that an Environmental Statement or Environmental Impact Assessment is required to support a planning application, we are often asked to prepare technical chapters on Transport or Water Resources.
We also have the capability to co-ordinate all of the other technical disciplines prepared by our network of environmental co-professionals.
Our approach to EIA is to scope thoroughly and then deal with the issues that arise in order to satisfy assessing authorities that the impacts have been correctly assessed and can be satisfactorily mitigated. We do not believe in EIA for it's own sake but as a tool with which to assess development and to ensure the best possible scheme given the constraints of a site.
We aim to produce minimalist documentation with robust non-technical summaries and technical detail dealt with by relevant experts for agreement with their statutory consultee partner.
Our growing team of co-consultants give us the capacity to deal with any scale of development project with the same partnership consulting ethos as all our core services. Our breadth of experience gives us a questioning mindset that constantly assesses the value in any particular piece of study work.
