"We engaged AWP to help resolve some knotty transport and engineering issues. They worked proactively to address Devon County Council’s highways concerns to enable TDC to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of this waterfront site which has lain vacant for far too long."

Movember

On the 1st of November 2022 an intrepid group of 11 AWP colleagues began their Movember journey, primarily via the growth or nurture of a moustache during November, but also via a ‘physical challenge’ such as running or walking a set distance.

AWP first took part in Movember way back in November 2013 (and again in 2016, then 2019) so it felt only fitting to repeat our 3 yearly efforts during our 10th anniversary month  in 2022.

The aim was to raise funds for the Movember charity via donations, but also to spark conversations due to the change in our appearance via our ‘tache wearing’, to highlight the worrying statistics particularly around men’s health, and to shine a spotlight on the great work that the Movember charity does.

Some of the ‘tache’growing has been exceptional, some quite artistic, some slightly concerning…and others that would still be barely visible if the individual continued until the New Year…but we all did our bit and raised an amazing  £1,255 via generous donations (a massive thanks to each and every person who donated, you know who you are!), which has been generously matched by AWP.

If you would like to find out more about Movember, some of the worrying statistics that first inspired us to play our small part in raising funds or where the donations go etc please follow this link; Movember - Changing the face of men's health - Movember
