"AWP were selected from 4 consultants to produce a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) for our project. Value, not cost, was key in appointing them having discussed our requirements. The FRA report was compiled in good time and furthermore Rob Ward went the extra mile to assist us months after the document was completed to add extra value. Without their input, planning permission would not have been granted."

National Apprenticeship Week - 'Expo on Tour'

01/03/22

Earlier this month was National Apprenticeship Week and AWP took part in the Exeter College 'Expo on Tour.'

Each day over the course of a week, our colleagues Annabel, Isaac, Jayesh, Ben, Mikey, Verity, Jon, Matt and Joe took turns visiting local schools in Exeter to introduce students to the possibilities of a career in Civil Engineering. This was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the sort of work that the apprentices of tomorrow could find themselves doing.

National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy. At AWP we work closely with Exeter College and believe investing time at the beginning of a young person's career ensures they gain the knowledge and confidence to progress into senior positions.

Our apprentices bring new ideas and dynamics to the table and watching their careers develop is incredibly rewarding.

Perhaps we will see some of the faces from the 'Expo on Tour' join us to start their careers in the not too distant future.
