"We like working with Peter and his team at AWP as they have experience and capability to provide engineering input on large complex D&B schemes. We particularly value their ability to readily identify engineering issues and come up with alternative practical solutions where necessary. This ability saves us time and money which is why we look forward to working with AWP on Sherford and other schemes in the future."

February 2016

01/02/16

Wow, it's half-way through February already. Crazy busy start to the year . . .

We were really pleased to see the Exeter City FC St James Park development scheme gain planning approval earlier this month. The mixed use scheme includes a new 1600-seater stand and other ground improvement works at St James Park along with an enabling student accommodationblock on an adjacent brownfield site.

Over the last few weeks we've completed our normal suite of engineering work (TA, FRA, utilities, levelsetc) to enable a number of planning applications to be made, including:

  • North Badesley, Hampshire - 300 houses for a consortium of the landowner and 3 regional housebuilders
  • 93 new homes and a relocated fire station at Chagford in the Dartmoor National Park
  • Ilminster, Somerset - 220 dwellings and new spine road
  • 153 bed student accommodation block on the Radmore & Tucker site at Frog St, Exeter

Our infrastructure design teams have recently obtained technical approvalsfor a number of schemes including Bodmin and Westward Ho! for long-standing client Wainhomes.

And finally for this month's news update, its good to see a couple of schemes we worked on a while ago (Honiton Premier Inn and the new Skoda showroom on Marsh Barton)both formally opened for trading recently.
