Blackborough House

Mid Devon

The Grade II listed Blackborough House has slowly fallen into a state of disrepair over the last few decades. We were appointed to undertake civil engineering input to support its renovation and conversion into a 64 bedroom hotel with associated restaurant, spa and function rooms. In addition, the proposal includes the construction of four residential pavilions and seven residential villas in the grounds of the house.

Working closely with Nigel Bird Architects, we prepared a Transport Statement and Flood Risk Assessment to support a detailed planning application. Ian and Sam also attended a Public Consultation Event where the proposals were explained to the residents of the village of Blackborough.
