We are pleased to be part of the Yelverton Properties team working with Exeter City Football Club to help deliver the proposed redevelopment of St James Park. The proposals include the demolition of the Stagecoach Family Stand to make way for a new 1,600-seater stand as well as new food outlets, a bar and toilets. The proposals also included new changing rooms and new facilities for the Big Bank stand and, if funds permit, a new covered away stand for up to 1,000 standing supporters at the St James Road end of the ground.
To help fund these proposed new works an enabling student accommodation development of 312 beds on land behind the Big Bank Stand and two adjoining pieces of land was also proposed. A planning application for the two sites was submitted towards the end of 2015 and Exeter City Council granted planning permission in February 2016.
We undertook the transport, drainage and utilities input to support the planning application and are now undertaking the infrastructure design helping Yelverton Properties and ECFC deliver this much needed improvement to St James Park.
