"AWP have helped us deliver many of our developments over the last few years. Whether its Alex and his transport team or Chris and his flood risk / drainage guys helping secure planning permissions or Pete and Rodin and their team getting the technical approvals in place, the whole AWP team are professional and efficient in helping us deliver our programme."
In 2013, we were asked by Devonshire Homes to undertake the civil engineering work to support an outline application for 77 new dwellings in the village of Landkey in North Devon.
We prepared a Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, Flood Risk Assessment, Drainage Strategy and attended a public consultation event. North Devon Council initially refused the outline planning application, but with Alex providing expert highways advice at the Planning Inquiry, permission was granted in 2015. We subsequently undertook further design work to discharge planning conditions and help secure Reserved Matters Approval in 2017. We then undertook the detailed infrastructure design and secured S104 and S38 Technical Approvals to enable construction work to commence.
After such a protracted planning process, it's good to see the development being built out and the first families moving into their new homes. And we like the use of corrugated metal for the garage roofs; not sure where we've seen that before . . .
