"Having Rodin as our dedicated point of contact has been really beneficial and helped us develop a close working partnership on the many projects AWP are helping us deliver. He has a good understanding of our needs as a house developer, moving our schemes forward efficiently through the working drawing and construction stage of a development. His considerable experience of designing residential schemes means that he adds value engineering awareness to our projects."

Former Belmont Hospital

Tiverton

Working closely with client Devonshire Homes and GJR Architects, we prepared flood risk and transport assessments to support a series of planning applications for the redevelopment of this Grade II listed former hospital building.

The dilapidated hospital building has been brought back to life with a sympathetic conversion to a number of residential apartments, while new housing is being built in the former hospital grounds. This includes a mix of both open-market private housing and affordable housing.

The scheme has been designed to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) Level 4. We assisted in achieving this accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the code requirement 'SUR 1: Management of surface water run-off from developments'.

We have also undertaken the infrastructure design on what has been a challenging site with a number of constraints. The construction works are now complete and the conversion of the listed building looks particularly impressive, as can be seen from the photo above.
