Jurston Farm

Wellington, Somerset

Building on our long standing relationship with CG Fry & Son, we prepared technical reports and drawings to support an outline planning application for a residential development at Jurston Farm, Wellington, Somerset. Working closely with project architects ESHA we helped develop a masterplan for the 40ha site which included 650 dwellings and a primary school for up to approximately 250 pupils.

We prepared a comprehensive Transport Assessment and a Flood Risk Assessment and undertook the preliminary highway design of 1km of proposed new spine road through the site. Following the granting of outline planning permission in 2015 we were appointed to undertake further work liaising with utility providers to help inform the phasing of this large residential development.

We subsequently developed our preliminary designs to support a successful Reserved Matters Application during 2016. We are currently undertaking the detailed infrastructure design of the initial phases and liasing with the Highway Authority over the S278 agreement for the new roundabout on the A38.

We look forward to helping CG Fry deliver this strategic site over the next few years.
