Investors in People - Gold Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that we have once again been awarded Investors in People Gold accreditation!

We started our journey with Investors in People when we were first accredited back in 2017. At our next review three years later we achieved Gold status, and last week we were thrilled to hear the news that we have been awarded Gold status once again extending our accreditation to 2025.  

This Summer’s Investors in People review included a company-wide staff survey, 1:1 interviews between the IIP Practitioner and individual team members, and a workshop session with the AWP management team. Commenting in their report the IIP Practitioner said that:

“Retaining Gold, improving on practice and achieving such fantastic feedback is a brilliant achievement. Especially when set against the challenges of the COVID pandemic. Your overall benchmark score on the survey has gone up since 2019, and you are above the national IIP benchmark.

The conversations we had with people were really positive. People are very supportive of AWP and your ambitions. It was a pleasure to speak with members of your team who are so committed to supporting clients and delivering value for money on projects. People clearly bring a lot of expertise, energy and passion to their role

AWP remains one of the strongest organisations I’ve had the pleasure to work with in relation to supporting people’s career, and encouraging them to learn new skills and achieve ICE qualification status.”

Investors in People say that Gold accreditation recognises that companies not only have the policies in place, but everyone – from business leaders to new apprentices - take ownership for making them come to life. Only 17% of organisations achieve gold accreditation and it means that every single person at AWP is involved in supporting each other and is doing their best to make work better.

We will now be examining the feedback from this latest Investors in People review in greater detail and making a plan of action to ensure we build upon this great result as we grow further in the future.
