2024 Mid Year Promotions

16/07/24

A huge congratulations to the six who have received mid year promotions at AWP.

From left to right:

Rhys Lamacroft has been promoted to Engineer.  This is reflective of Rhys' hard work over the past 2.5 years with us and his competency in delivering design work on such developments as Nansledan, Welborne and Jurston Farm. Over the last 6 months Rhys has risen to the challenge of being the primary/lead designer assisting both Jake and Annabel’s delivery teams, delivering complex design input whilst also mentoring and supporting the junior members of the infrastructure team. Rhys has also been consistently sharing his knowledge and skills within the businesses technical focus groups continuing the evolution of the companies best practice.

Craig Mason has been promoted to Associate Director.  Since joining us back in 2022 Craig has led by example in demonstrating the AWP Values at all times, both through his stewardship of project work and his responsibilities in other areas of the operation of the business as part of his membership of the main Leadership Team and his mentoring role within AWP’s development group for future leaders of the business. and He has also taken full ownership of Team Transport, with accountability for its delivery for clients, quality of outputs, training and mentoring of junior members of the team, and its growth and development over the years ahead. We have also been greatly impressed by the way in which Craig secured his TPP professional qualification with determination and dedication. Indeed, he made such a positive impact with the CIHT through that process that he was asked to become a professional reviewer and we are very proud that he has become the first AWP representative in that arena.

Dan Hart has been promoted to Associate Director.  In response to his continued contribution to the business, increased level and range of responsibility, and personal growth in technical and managerial experience it gives us much pleasure to be able to announce that Dan Hart has been promoted to Associate Director at AWP. AWP are always keen to promote from within and reward existing staff that contribute hard work, dedication, and commitment to the success of the business. As ever, we have seen Dan display his usual positivity and enthusiasm by taking on additional tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of AWP’s Development Infrastructure team. His on-going custodianship of important elements of the wider operation of the business, including our apprenticeship programme and mental health support, is also greatly appreciated.

Ben Fenton has been promoted to Engineer.  This comes in recognition of his Ben's continued efforts to broaden his own knowledgebase and capabilities, whilst also supporting the development of the flood risk and drainage team and a business as a whole.  Ben has positively contributed to the ESG focus group and the carbon reduction best practice group and is taking on more responsibilities with client care and mentoring junior members of the team.

Joe Graham has been promoted to Assistant Technician.  Joe has stepped up to take on various new additional tasks and activities with increased responsibilities.  His efforts over the past 12 months have paid off, with good feedback from the college, and offering support to others through the first year of their course.  Joe always shows an appetite to learn more, and has taken on more responsibility within the team, which has shown a huge improvement to his design input skills.

Graham May has been promoted to Associate Director.  We are delighted to announce that Graham May has been promoted to Associate Director at AWP. Graham joined AWP on Day 1 back in November 2012 as part of the original group of 7, and over the last 11 or so years he has supported its growth and development every step of the way, particularly within the Development Infrastructure team. We are always keen to promote from within and reward members of the team that show continued hard work, dedication, and commitment to the success of the business. This promotion recognises Graham’s key role within AWP, both in terms of delivery for our clients and important elements of the wider operation of the business, including our IT capabilities and mostly recently the AWP training and development programme.

Many congratulations to all six on their very well deserved promotions.
