"We were so pleased to see high quality entries from businesses large and small and from a variety of sectors. It is down to them that the city is so vibrant and such a great place to live and work."

Last month was our 3rd birthday and we celebrated by taking the team to Ilsington Country House Hotelon the edge of Dartmoor for a day and a half of team building and training activities run by Paul Mattin of Wilderness Solutions.Paul can more usually be found leading explorations to Kilimanjaro or Everest Base Camp and provided an excellent training programme of indoor and outdoor activities to help reinforce our team culture and hone our leadership skills.

Back in the office we have had another very busy month submitting a number of planning applications for regionally significant developments including:

  • St James Park Development- a mixed use scheme consisting of a proposed new stand at Exeter City FC, a 318 bed student accommodation block on an adjoining site and a convenience retail store.
  • A mixed use development of 255 dwellings, a GP surgery, a Community Hall and an element of employment space on greenfield land in Bude, Cornwall.

We were pleased to see CG Fry secured planning permission for a challenging site we have been working on in Portesham, West Dorset. We undertook our usual suite of TA, FRAand engineering input into the masterplanand are now helping discharge planning conditions and obtain technical approvalsto enable work to start on site next year. And a little nearer to home, a 80 home scheme at Clyst St Mary, Exeter which we have been working on with LHC on behalf of Cavanna Homes was also granted planning approval.

Matt, Jake & Jon attended their graduation ceremony at Exeter Cathedralwhere they received their certificates for passing their BTEC4 exams earlier this year. And following in their footsteps, Tomwas recently awarded 'Full time Professional Studies Student of the Year' by Exeter College. Well done guys.
