Outline application submitted for major mixed use development in Crediton

13/03/17

We've recently submitted an outline application for a large development on the northern edge of Crediton.

Working closely with Barton Willmore, for client Gleeson Developments, we prepared a Transport Assessmentand Flood Risk Assessmentto support the outline application. The proposed scheme includes 326 dwellings, 8.6 ha of land for the relocation of Crediton Rugby Club and a new primary school to serve the northern side of the town. The rugby club will submit their own application in due course for a new clubhouse and car parking in addition to new pitches and training facilities.

We have had a long association with this scheme (it is job number 29 and we are have recently set up job 650) having helped support the allocation of the site for the landowners over 10 years ago while at WSP. Our transport and flood risk teams, led by Alexand Chrisrespectively, undertook extensive consultation with the local residents and their elected representatives to address offsite issues. We also provided advice on utilitiessupply to the new development.
