Paul Mattin Team Building

On a drizzly May afternoon, AWP reunited with Paul Mattin of Wilderness Solutions for some team building fun at Woodbury Park.

Paul is a long-standing and integral member of our wider AWP family and he has worked with us over several years running various team building events as well as helping to develop our leadership training programme. He also helped us through the coronavirus pandemic with online support sessions, but this week was the first time we’ve been able to join up with Paul again as a whole group since our birthday celebration back in 2019.

Taking time out of our busy workload to re-connect as an AWP wide team is an important part of our ethos. We've also gained a number of new staff members over the last couple of years who had not yet benefited from the “Mattin Experience”, and it was great to see them get stuck in with all of the team activities. This year Paul was supported by ex-England rugby player, Dan Hipkiss, and together they led us through a series of fun challenges focussing on problem solving, time management and team working, all rounded off with a BBQ at the end of the afternoon.

Thanks to Paul and Dan for a great afternoon, which has put us in a great place as a team for the summer ahead.
