Team building 2020

28/10/20

We've have had to make some changes to our team building sessions in 2020, but that hasn't stopped AWP from working, again, with Paul Mattin.

Our team building activities usually give us a chance to step away from the office and work together as a large group, but with the rule of six in place we decided to split into teams and look at how our teamwork has adapted as a result of the global pandemic. It gave us a chance to see colleagues in person, which has become somewhat of a novelty over the last 7 months. We then looked at the Tuckman Model, a curve demonstrating how a team will transition from 'forming' to 'storming' to 'norming' and finally to 'performing' over a period of time and compared it to our own teamwork throughout 2020.

The sessions were fuelled by coffee and biscuits, finished up with a few rounds of competitive cup stacking before lunch and the opportunity for a walk along a wet and windy Exmouth seafront.
