"We are working with AWP on pre-planning work and detailed infrastructure design on a number of our projects. We like their technical expertise and proactive culture and also their ability to work as part of a team whilst giving their best advice."

This month's image is an aerial photo of the recently completed Exeter University student accommodation block on Prince of Wales Road, Exeter. We worked closely with the Yelverton Properties client team and architects LHCinitially helping secure planning permission and more recently undertaking the detailed infrastructure design for D&B contractor Midas Construction.

Despite the pre-Brexit fears of the end of the world, we seem to be as busy as ever and are pleased to have been appointed for a number of interesting new projects, including a 1,600 house residential scheme in Essex, work at a school in Somerset and a proposed Battery Energy Storage Facility in Surrey. We'll include details of these projects over the coming months.

Our infrastructure design teams have recently secured S38 and S104 technical approvalsfor a number of schemes including Cullompton, Chulmleighand Bovey Tracey for Devonshire Homesand Clyst St Mary for Cavanna Homes.

We're commited to giving aspiring young engineers and technicians a start in their careers. Over the last few years we have given a number of students and undergraduates work experience and we are pleased to be able to continue to do this. Jacob De la Croix has recently joined us for a year in industry between his 2nd and 3rd years at Loughborough University. Caleb Robertson is also working over his summer holiday while back from Brunel University. Welcome to both Jacob and Caleb.

And finally for July's news update we send our best wishes to Dan& Nik Hart and Alex & Alice Hanks who tied the knot recently.
