Planning permission for Battery Energy Storage Facility in Surrey

We were pleased to hear that planning permission has been granted for a new batttery energy strorage facilityfor which we had recently undertaken an FRA.

The site is located in the medium risk Flood Zone 2, but through working closely with the client we were able to develop sensible flood mitigtaion measures to help secure Environment Agency and the Lead Local Flood Authority approval.

The scheme is thought to be one of the first battery energy strorage facilities in the UK.
