Project Update - Viewpoint Pynes Hill
27/06/24
We are delighted to hear that planning permission has been secured for the VIEWPOINT office space in Pynes Hill, Exeter. Located within a stone’s throw of AWP’s office, we were commissioned by Wesleyan Assurance Society to provide Transport Planning support.
With the name referring to the outstanding views that will be present across the Exe Estuary, VIEWPOINT will provide high-quality office space over three floors. VIEWPOINT is designed to be a ‘best in class’ office building with the highest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, targeting to achieve an Energy Performance Certificate of an A/A+ and a BREEAM Excellent standard. The proposals include air source heat pumps with heat recovery, and roof-top solar photovoltaics to offset the annual electricity demand.
With in-depth local knowledge, AWP were well placed to provide Transport Planning support for this development, which benefits from an excellent level of pedestrian and cycle provision, including a number of traffic-free routes to the city centre. AWP undertook pre-application discussions with the Highway Officer and prepared the Transport Statementand BREEAM compliant Travel Planfor the application. This subsequently resulted in the Local Highway Authority recommending approval.
Special thanks to Wesleyan Assurance Society, Carney Sweeney,LHC, Summerfield Developments and the wider project team.We are excited to see this incredible scheme be delivered soon!
