We were pleased to be part of the Yelverton Properties team which worked with Exeter City Football Club to help redevelop St James Park. The scheme included the demolition of the old Stagecoach Family Stand to make way for a new 1,600-seater stand as well as new food outlets, a bar and toilets. The redevelopment also included new changing rooms and new facilities for the Big Bank stand and a new covered away stand for up to 1,000 standing supporters at the St James Road end of the ground.

To help fund the stadium improvements, an enabling student accommodation development of 312 beds on land behind the Big Bank Stand and two adjoining pieces of land is also being delivered. A planning application for the two sites was submitted towards the end of 2015 and Exeter City Council granted planning permission in February 2016.

We undertook the transport, drainage and utilities input to support the planning application and subsequently undertook the infrastructure design helping Yelverton Properties and ECFC deliver this much needed improvement to St James Park.
