2018 undergraduates
08/08/18
Over the last few years we've welcomed a number of undergraduates to AWP and given them varying lengths of work experience.
We like to think it works in two ways: Undergraduates get some experience of what a future career could hold in store and working in our Transport Planning, Flood Risk & Drainage or Infrastructure Design teams helps inform final year options and future career paths. From our point of view, we get the opportunity to help aspiring engineers at the start of their career and potentially it helps our future recruitment.
This summer we welcome Fleur Elliott-Davies and welcome back Jacob De la Croix and Ralph Morris.
Fleur joins us for a 'year in industry' between her 2nd and 3rd years of her MEng in Civil Engineering at Plymouth University. Fleur starts her year with us in Dan's Infrastructure Design team.
Jacob has just completed his BEng at Loughborough and is with us for a couple of months before starting a MEng at the University of Exeter. Jacob previously worked here for a year in industry between his 2nd and 3rd years at Loughborough. Jacob is working with Chris in the Flood Risk and Drainage team.
Ralph is currently between his 3rd and 4th years at the University of Sheffield. He worked with our transport planning team last summer and is currently working with Graham and Simon in one of our Infrastructure Design teams.
Welcome to all three of these impressive young engineers starting out on their careers in Civil Engineering.
