"Although mental health is often talked about at AWP, Time to Talk Day felt like a good opportunity to sit down with coffee and cake and chat with colleagues. We practiced a number of mindfulness and grounding exercises which could be easily used in the workplace and dispelled a few mental health myths with a quiz at the end. It might only have been 30 minutes of our day, but the impact felt really positive."

Lympstone Nursery – Construction starts

01/04/21

AWP have been involved in supporting the development proposals for this site since our involvement at Outline Planning stage when we prepared the Transport Statement, Flood Risk report and drainage strategies for the scheme.

More recently we have provided detailed infrastructure design input to support the development of the individually designed 3 and 4-bedroom new homes located a short distance away from AWP towers in the popular location of Lympstone.

Set in over 3 acres on the former Lympstone Nursery, half of the site is designated for landscaping and a new open space for the village. Our client, RBL Homes instructed Archilime Visualisation, based in Buckfastleigh, to produce a suite of visualisations. These bring to life the efforts of the entire design team to create a stunning development with a focus on place-making and incorporating open space in the heart of the village setting.

Dan led the AWP team for the original outline planning application with support from Sam and Toby on highways and drainage matters. More recently Graham and Simon took the reins through the detailed design phase co-ordinating input from various disciplines in the office and our co-professionals. A real team effort, and a great project that we are very excited to see coming to life.
