"It was hoped that after the months of remote working and furlough, AWP would come together, agree on a contract – and Review, Reset, Recalibrate. This they did."

Its been another busy month at AWP Towers!

We've recently submitted a Flood Risk Assessmentand Foul Drainage Strategy to support an outline application for the redevelopment of the former Nortel site in Torbay. It is proposed to redevelop this 10ha brownfield site with a retail led mixed use scheme. The image above is taken from Form Design's indicative masterplan and sets out how the retail units could look when viewed from the proposed new access from Long Road.

We were pleased to be able to help Wings SW, a Bideford based charity, by undertaking some pro bono surface water drainage strategy work to enable them get the last box ticked for a reserve matters application for their proposed new Bridge Centre.

We were also pleased to be part of a team led by London based AOC Architecture that submitted an entry in a competition for a new Dawlish Warren Visitor Centre.

We've taken on another graduate engineer to help deliver our increasing transport planning workload. Andrew Chessum joins us on 1 October.

And finally, we are all looking forward to our new office opening party.
