"We are working with AWP on a number of our projects at the moment. We particularly like their ability to work as part of a team with our interests at heart and value the fact that they seem to have a good working relationship with local approving authorities."

Romsey

Hampshire

We have worked on three developments for landowner Ashfield Estate and a consortium of regional house-builders in and around Romsey in Hampshire.

Initially we undertook a Flood Risk Assessment which helped secure planning permission for Wyatt Homes and Morrish Homes to construct a small development of 56 dwellings at Luzborough Green on the eastern edge of Romsey. The photos above are of this scheme and show the attention to detail and quality of work that underpins all three developments.

Building on this, we undertook a wider scope of civil engineering input including an FRA, utilities strategy, preliminary highway design and a cut and fill strategy for an outline application for 300 houses at Hoe Lane, on Ashfield Estate land just over a mile to the south east in North Baddesley. Test Valley Borough Council granted consent for this scheme in 2018 and we are now starting work to help the consortium of Wyatt, Morrish and CG Fry develop their designs. We are bringing our experience of delivering similar high quality, large scale residential developments at Poundbury in Dorset and Nansledan in Cornwall.

Finally, we are also currently working towards a larger outline application for the same consortium on land at Whitenap to the south of Romsey. All three schemes will be designed to leave a legacy that the landowner Ashfield Estate, the three house-builders and the rest of the professional team can be proud of.
