"AWP were able to offer both a broad range of key services and a vast wealth of local knowledge to the project. The team never failed to respond quickly, but more importantly for us, in a professional and proactive manner, heading off a number of issues that may have caused delay to the project if they had not be dealt with at the very outset."

Following on from our work in helping secure planning permission for new student accommodation schemes at Exeter Cricket Club and St James Park, we were invited to work with client Primus Property Group on a similar project to provide much needed accommodation for Exeter University students. This proposed scheme included a new 98 bed student accommodation block on a brownfield site at Frog Street, Exeter.

The growth and success of the University are very important to Exeter's economy. As a result there is a growing need for new purpose-built student accommodation in Exeter to accommodate the increasing number of students which, in turn, is helping to free up local residential housing from student landlords.

We prepared a Transport Statement and a Flood Risk Assessment to support the outline planning application which was made in October 2015. Exeter City Council granted planning permission early in March 2016.
