"We engaged AWP to undertake pre-planning engineering work on our Station Road site in Westbury. They did an excellent job in liaising with and obtaining technical approvals from the local approving authorities and we can happily recommend them to any potential client."

Station Road, Westbury

Wiltshire

We were appointed by Square Bay to undertake engineering work to support an outline planning application for up to 300 residential dwellings on a 22ha greenfield site immediately to the south of Westbury railway station.

We prepared a Flood Risk Assessment, Transport Assessment, Utilities Assessment and preliminary highway designs to support the application. Alex led our team working on this project.

Wiltshire Council granted planning consent for 300 residential dwellings in 2015 and the site is currently being developed by Linden Homes.

In parallel with the outline application for the residential development, we also undertook a similar scope of work for a detailed application for the relocation of Westbury Sailing Club to a new site with improved facilities on the north of the lake (the 2nd photo above).

On the back of this work we were subsequently appointed to undertake further work to support a separate application for a car park extension for Great Western Railway. Following approval of this application, we undertook the infrastructure design work and issued tender drawings. This extension was formally opened in March 2019.
