"We were really pleased with the advice and assistance we received from Ian and his team at AWP. They were responsive and made complicated matters easier to understand, adding more to the project than just their expertise."

Highbullen Hotel

Devon

AWP were very pleased to be asked to support the Highbullen Hotel, Chittlehamholt, in their proposals for regeneration of the Hotel complex.  The proposed scheme initially involved an extension to the Hotel to provide new high quality bedrooms together with 98 lodges and tree houses in the grounds.

The scheme was subsequently amended to include only 58 lodges and tree houses and the permitted scheme will breathe new life into a fantastic location.

AWP undertook transport work assessing the impacts from holiday visitors on the local rural lanes and also assessed the flooding and drainage implications of the proposals.

Key to the AWP advice was low key local solutions in this rural setting, responding to local concerns and delivering reports and advice to the client to satisfy statutory consultees.

Detailed design at the site is progressing and we would heartily recommend a visit to this stunning location.
